Straight answers.
The questions people ask before they book a PEP Talk, answered the same way I’d answer them on the call.
Who I work with
I’m a nurse, radiographer, doctor, AHP, manager… is this for me?
Yes. I work with healthcare professionals of every background, clinical and non-clinical, in the UK and internationally. Ward, department, lab, office, boardroom. If healthcare is your world and you’re questioning whether you can do another ten years of it, this is built for you.
I’m not in the UK. Can I still work with you?
Yes. I work with clients across the globe, including Canada and the USA. Everything runs on Google Meet and sessions get scheduled around your time zone. The questions are the same wherever the healthcare system is.
I don’t have a business idea. Can I still start?
You don’t need one. Finding a direction, testing it and proving it can pay is the work we do together. Some of the strongest exits start with “I know I can’t stay, but I don’t know what’s next.”
I’m not sure I want to leave. I’m just thinking about it.
That’s exactly the right time to talk. A plan doesn’t commit you to anything. It shows you what your options are worth, so you can decide with real numbers instead of guesswork and fear.
Some people build a plan and choose to stay. That’s a win too, because now it’s a choice.
I’m facing redundancy. Is this relevant?
Very. Redundancy compresses the timeline, but the questions are the same. What do you have to offer? What do you want your working life to look like? What do the numbers say? A plan turns a payout and a panic into a starting position.
Is this only for people who want to start a business?
No. Clients go into consulting, education, industry roles, service businesses, portfolio careers, even buying existing businesses. The point of the plan is that you choose the destination. Building a business is one route, not the only one.
The process
What happens first?
A free 45-minute PEP Talk on Google Meet. We look at where you are, what you want, and whether this is the right move for you. No pitch. If it isn’t right, I’ll tell you.
Will anyone know I’m doing this?
No. The PEP Talk is confidential, and so is everything after it. Sessions are private, recordings are shared with you and no one else, and nothing goes anywhere near your employer.
My clients are usually planning a move their workplace doesn’t know about yet. That’s normal, and it’s protected. It’s also why the testimonials on this site use initials and job titles only, unless someone has chosen to be named publicly.
What is the VIANOVA framework?
Seven stages. Values & Skills, Imagine, Affordable, Now What, Overcome, Validation, Action. Skills first, then the life you want, then the money, then the move. Every stage ends with something done.
How long does the Personal Exit Plan take?
At least 14 private 90-minute sessions. Some people move fast, others need longer on the numbers or the idea. It finishes when you’ve reached the outcome we agreed up front, not when a calendar says stop.
I work full time and do shifts. Can I fit this in?
Yes. Sessions get booked around your rota, not mine. Everything is recorded, and WhatsApp support means questions don’t wait a fortnight for an answer. Clients build their plan while still working full time. That’s the point: you leave when the plan says so, not before.
What happens between sessions?
Structured exercises, WhatsApp support and accountability check-ins. Your plan builds as we go. You’ll never sit for a fortnight wondering what you’re supposed to be doing.
What’s the difference between a Workshop and the full Personal Exit Plan?
The Workshops, 1:1 or group, cover the first three stages: Values & Skills, Imagine, Affordable. They’re the right starting point if you want the foundations before committing further.
The full Personal Exit Plan takes you through all seven stages, one to one, until your notice is handed in and you know exactly what you’re stepping into.
Fees and options
What’s the investment?
Most of my clients get the best value from the longest work, so I’ll start at the top.
Personal Exit Plan, £999. All seven stages, one to one, until you’re out.
1:1 Private Workshop, £497. The first three stages, private.
Group Exit Plan Workshop, £297. The same three stages, in a small group.
CV Review + Strategy Call, £147. A rewritten CV and a direction to go with it.
The PEP Talk that starts it all is free.
Do Workshop fees count towards the full programme?
Yes. Your Workshop fee, £297 or £497, comes off the £999 if you continue to the full Personal Exit Plan. The work you’ve done counts. So does the money.
Are there payment options?
Yes, there are options to choose from. We’ll go through them on the PEP Talk and find what works for your situation.
What if I can’t afford to leave yet?
Then the plan tells you that too. More usefully, it tells you when you can, and what has to change first. Affordable is a full stage of the framework: your minimum viable income, your buffer, your timeline. The gap is usually smaller than the fear says it is.
Why work with me
Are you a coach?
No. I’m a business consultant with twenty years in and around healthcare: clinical, commercial and international. I was made redundant, left without a safety net and built businesses the hard way. What I offer is that route in the right order, so you don’t have to guess like I did.
How is this different from a careers adviser or recruiter?
A recruiter’s job is to place you in another job, usually one that looks a lot like the one you’re leaving. My job is to work out what you actually want, prove it’s viable, and get you there. Sometimes that’s a role in industry. Often it’s something you build yourself.
What do people actually leave with?
A tested direction. A clear offer, positioned and priced. Honest numbers. A path to a first customer. And a written Personal Exit Plan, built session by session as we go.
Then the part that matters: notice handed in, knowing exactly what you’re stepping into.
What if you don’t think it’s right for me?
I’ll say so, on the free call, before any money changes hands. I work with committed people and I care about what you leave with. If the Personal Exit Plan isn’t the right move, I’ll tell you what is.

Senior Nurse
“His advice helped me recognise the value of my clinical experience, leadership skills and transferable strengths. He offered encouragement, insight and a professional perspective that genuinely helped rebuild my confidence.”
Clinical Lead Nurse
Initials and job titles only. My clients are usually planning a move their employer doesn’t know about yet, so their names stay out of it unless they choose otherwise.
